Half Pint Hill Lone Star and Stoney Acres Chloey gave us our final foal of 2012.  He is a stocky little "chatter box" who was talking to Mom before he was 10 minutes old.
Meet heart & soul Chatter.
heart & soul Chatter
D.O.B.  Sept 12, 2012
Birth Height: 21.5 in
Birth Weight: 23 lbs
Sire: Half Pint Hill Lone Star
Dam: Stoney Acres Chloey
Chatter is an extremely stocky little guy who combines the best attributes of both his sire and dam.  From dam Chloey he has a short stocky body with a very refined head.  Combine these features with his sires fence post like straight legs and he has some of the makings of a future heard sire.  We will be evaluating Chatter over the next year at least and may train him for show.  Stay tuned to see how this little "chatter box" develops.
Sorry, Chatter is not for sale at this time

LN Black Shiner and Braying Hills Copper Belle present their first foal, heart & soul Shadow

D.O.B. August 24, 2012
Birth Height: 20 in
Birth Weight: 19 lbs
Sire: LN Black Shiner
Dam: Braying Hills Copper Belle
Francois came home from work just after 5:00 pm on the 24 to find this feisty little black jennet foal racing around her mother.  First time Mom Copper Belle was vigorously protecting her new foal from the interests of any other jenny that thought they could get close enough to check her out. Frank's 5 o'clock shadow as we called her was a growing concern with more energy than any 5 other foals.  With striking white light points, sorrel patches on both ears and a thick black coat she is a beautiful jennet foal.
Fast forward 6 months and those white light points have changed to tan/red but still no sign of a cross and stripe which means there is a good chance that she will be a true black like her sire Black Shiner.  Only time will tell.  Shadow's energy level is still such that sometimes she can't decide whether to run or jump so she just vibrates!  We will be evaluating Shadow as a potential addition to our show string and brood jenny herd.
Sorry, Shadow is not for sale at this time

B.J. Lori has foaled!!!

B.J. Lori

Due Date: June 11, 2012

Date of Birth: June 11, 2012 @ 2:00 am

Birth Height:  21"

Birth Weight:

Sire: Stoney Acres Divvan

Dam: B.J. Lori

In the wee hours of June 11, 2012 B.J. Lori finally gave birth to our last foal of spring 2012.  At 2:00 am a tiny little jack foal was born.  Given Lori's immense size and increasing discomfort we had wondered whether she had 2 babies in there!  Her perfect little jack foal, Stitch, is a stunner and we love seeing him running around his mother, siblings and the yard!

Candy Man aka "Manny"

 jack foal

Due Date: May 22, 2012

Date of Birth: May 28/12 at 12:07 am

Birth Height: N/A

Birth Weight: N/A

Sire: Half Pint Hill Lonestar

Dam: B.J. Taffi

Taffi was a first time mother who did extremely well.  She is a natural.  Her jack foal, "Candy Man" (aka "Manny") is substantial and looks like another little block courtesy of his sire Half Pint Hill Lone Star.  We can't tell whether he'll have a star yet as there seems to be a little bare spot where it should be.  We're guessing time will tell. Either way this little guy is going to be stunning!

Photo coming soon

Candy Man is a little shy and we have yet to get a photo of him.

Chocolate's jennet foal "Cocoa"

heart & soul Cocoa

jennet foal

Due Date: May 22, 2012

Date of Birth: May 26/12 at 6:00 am

Birth Height: N/A

Birth Weight: N/A

Sire: Stoney Acres Divvan

Dam: Chocolate

One of our favorite jennies, Chocolate, gave us a beautiful jennet foal early am on May 26/12.  This is her first pairing with Stoney Acres Divvan and we are pleased.  She is a tall girl, very dark brown/black at this point and she has the most beautiful long ears which are reflexed at the tips.  The striking contrast of her dark body coloring with whiter than white light points accentuates her beauty. Cocoa is sold and will be moving to Holland after weaning this fall.

T'Berry Luna's first foal - Bella

T'Berry Luna and new foal "Bella"

heart & soul Blue Moon (aka "Bella")

jennet foal

Due Date: May 15, 2012

Date of Birth: May 18, 2012, 10:17 am

Birth Height: 22"

Birth Weight: 18#

Sire: Half Pint Hill Lone Star

Dam: T'Berry Luna

"Bella" as she is known in the barnyard is simply the friendliest and most beautiful foal we've ever had.  She's always the first foal to great people and she would rather play with them than hang around with Mom or the other foals.  She truly is the "bell of the barnyard".

Luna and baby Bella are sold and moving west.  Congratulations Brad and Dusty!

Little Girl's jack foal "Twister"

heart & soul Twister

jack foal

Due Date: May 5, 2012

Date of Birth: May 20/12 at 2:30 am

Birth Height: 22"

Birth Weight: 22#

Sire: Half Pint Hill Lone Star

Dam: Little Girl

Little girl presented us with a handsome jack foal in the wee hours of May 20/12.  This little guy seems to be double jointed as we have seen him in the oddest positions that reminded us of a game called "Twister" - hence the name.  Twister has about a dozen white hairs on his forehead which would come from sire Lone Star who has a large white star.  Twister has inherited his sire's awesome conformation and looks like he will be a little block!  Twister is sold and will be moving to eastern Manitoba after weaning this fall.

Tell me a Secret aka "Rumor"

 Whisper's first foal is here!

heart & soul Tell Me a Secret & mom, Whisper

 jennet foal

Due Date: May 16, 2012

Date of Birth: May 21/12, 2:45 am

Birth Height: 20.5 in.

Birth Weight: 22#

Sire: Stoney Acres Divvan

Dam: Berry Ridge Whisper

Berry Ridge Whisper is our best showgirl and was Reserve Grand Champion at the Miniature Donkey Extravaganza in Red Deer 2011.  Her first foal (above) is stunning!!  Little "Rumor" as she's known in the barnyard is one of our friendliest babies and is always looking for a pet or scratch.  This pairing of Whisper and Divvan looks to be a winner.  We suspect that Rumor, like her mother, will be successful in the show ring.  Rumor is currently in "diva" training  and not for sale at this time.
